We are looking for a status track research faculty appointment at the rank of

 

Associate Professor of Strategic Communications (f/m) - Full Time (40 hours/week)

 

Ideal starting date: negotiable

 

The Associate Professor is reporting to the Head of Media and Communications and in this role combining excellence in teaching with a strong research agenda in strategic communications.

 

 Key responsibilities:

  • Teach undergraduate courses in one or all of the following: public relations principles and practices; strategic writing; public relations cases and campaigns; crisis management; corporate advocacy and communication; issue management; social media strategies; strategic communication in a global environment

  • Maintain a rigorous scholarly output by publishing in refereed academic journals

  • Engage in scholarly production (book chapters, books)

  • Attend competitive conferences

  • Participate in the development and expansion of the programs within a worldwide Webster network

 

Your profile:

  • PhD and Habilitation or equivalent in Strategic Communication, Corporate Communication, Public Relations or related field

  • Solid international scholarly track record for the rank of Associate Professor

  • Demonstrated evidence of teaching excellence

  • Previous university-level teaching experience at English-language institution

  • Proven ability to conduct successful grant writing is an advantage

  • Excellent knowledge of English; working knowledge of German desirable

The applicant must have the legal right to work in Austria. The yearly gross salary on a full-time basis (40 hours) for this position is a minimum of € 58.000, - gross p.a. plus benefits; higher payment depending on qualification and experience.
