The holder is to represent the subject of communication science in research and teaching in its entirety. The main focus of the professorship is the communication science analysis of the forms, structures and processes of public communication under the conditions of social change. Interaction between media communication and social fields of action such as politics, economics or science, or the related subpublications, should be dealt with, in particular with regard to structural and socio-economic contexts.

It is expected that the personality to be recruited is indicated by high-ranking research contributions and relevant publications, which are also internationally visible. Experience in acquiring and implementing third-party projects is expected.

The applicant is expected to be highly involved in academic teaching, in particular participation in the main focus of the modular BA / MA courses. In addition to relevant scientific qualifications, the applicants should have sufficient experience in teaching and auditing.

Prerequisites for admission are a completed university degree, educational qualification as well as the special qualification for scientific work, which is demonstrated by the quality of a doctorate. In addition, additional academic achievements are required, which may be carried out within the framework of a junior professorship, a habilitation or an activity as a scientific employee at a university or a non - university institution or as part of a scientific activity in economy, administration or in another social sphere Or abroad.
