The future applicant will be represented in his / her entire field, subject to individual scientific focus, the Faculty of Front Asian Archeology in Research and Teaching. His tasks include the organization of 9 SWS lectures and examinations in the relevant BA and MA courses conducted in association with Ancient Oriental Philology / Ancient Oriental Studies and the Institute of Egyptology and Coptology. Experiences and perspectives in field archaeological work in the Near East as well as a research interest in cultural and socio-scientific questions are desirable. The willingness to cooperate in existing interdisciplinary institutions and research groups as well as in related projects is expected. Experience in the recruitment and implementation of third party projects is desirable.


Prerequisites for postgraduate studies are a postgraduate university degree in Early Asian Archeology, special pedagogic aptitudes, as well as a special qualification in scientific work, which is usually demonstrated by an outstanding doctorate. In addition, additional academic achievements are required, which may be carried out within the framework of a junior professorship, a habilitation or an activity as a research associate or academic employee at a university or extra-non-university institution, or as part of a scientific activity in business, administration or in another social sphere, Or abroad.
