Senior/Lecturer, Arts Management Programmes (Full-time and Part-time)

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver modules in at least three of the following subjects for 20-24 teaching hours per week during term time:

    • Business Management

    • Economics

    • Contract Law

    • Marketing

    • Organisational Behaviour

    • Practical Arts Administration

    • Aesthetics of Arts

    • Art and Cultural Project Proposal

    • Research of the Arts and Cultural Industry

    • IT Applications (Web Design and Digital Media Integration)

  • Supervise and assess students’ projects and assist in the planning and organisation of a variety of activities, such as exhibitions and events

  • Maintain records to monitor student progress, performance and attendance

  • Provide mentorship, pastoral care and career guidance to students

  • Provide support in the administration and coordination of all modules in the Diploma in Arts Management programme

  • Contribute towards the regular review, design and development of learning materials

  • Establish and maintain links with arts and cultural organisations so as to secure learning opportunities for students

  • Perform administrative duties related to teaching and School or institutional strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Minimum qualification of a Master’s degree in Business Management, Arts Management or related subjects

  • Minimum 5 years of teaching or relevant working experience in the arts and cultural industry

  • Ability to teach a wide range of Business and Arts Management subjects is an advantage

  • Ability to supervise and manage students’ projects

  • Sound and effective pedagogical approach

  • Positive, enthusiastic and results-oriented with the ability to engage students in their learning

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English

  • A team player with good interpersonal skills
