The Manchester Institute of Education (MIE) is seeking two outstanding scholars to join our professoriate. You will make an active contribution to, and offer academic leadership in, one or more of the following research groups: special educational and additional needs, critical pedagogies, disadvantage and poverty, and critical educational policy and leadership. We are particularly keen for one of the two vacancies to be filled by a scholar whose research interests and expertise align with the latter group.
Applicants with expertise in one or more of our emergent cross-cutting research themes (including mental health and wellbeing, higher education, learner and professional identities and privatisation) are also welcome.
The posts are tenable from 1st August 2017 or as soon as possible thereafter.
Interviews will be held on the morning of Thursday 4th May and afternoon of Tuesday 9th May 2017.
As an equal opportunities employer, we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons. However, as female candidates are currently under-represented at this level in this area, we would particularly welcome applications from female candidates. All appointments will be made on merit.
Please note that we are unable to respond to enquiries, accept CV's or applications from Recruitment Agencies.
